On a brighter note, I made my first batch of homemade baby food a couple of day ago. Pears were on the menu. High in fiber and easy on digestion. He ate them with pleasure, opening his mouth for more before he was finished the last spoonful. Next we'll try carrots, then avocado. Most any fruit or vegetable requires steaming first before pureeing when a baby is as young as Ivan is. The trick is to increase texture gradually with the end result being your child can eat what the rest of the family is having for supper. He eats his cereal for breakfast and fruits and veggies for lunch, these servings are only supplements to his regular feeding routine.
This is exciting for me as I spend a good part of the day in the kitchen with Ivan anyway.
