So here we find ourselves once again taking another stab at daycare. Nearing on two months after our first bad experiences and weeks of Mommy / Daddy daycare later; Ivan is on his way to a daycare routine. While the 'adjustment period' (ie. the feelings of abandonment by parent and child) are still to be dealt with early reports are that Ivan is doing well with only a couple of days under his belt. The woman who runs the daycare out of her home is very kind and gentle and is making extra time to spend with Ivan so that he transitions well. In the mornings we're sad to give him up and rush home after work to take him home. I now have a picture on my desk to help remind me why i'm here and why I would much rather be at home with my family.
